About the show

Night of Essence is a creative dance and entertainment show specializing in showcasing and celebrating the arts.. (Choreographers, dancers, singers, spoken word artists, painters/visual artist and unique specialty acts.)

Night of Essence brings together performers and artist under one roof by providing the platform they need to express them selves creatively, share their talent without any limitations and boundaries, in a mature and interactive, cabaret, and concert style atmosphere. It’s a sexy night to mingle, network and enjoy a variety of performances from the cities best. Nothing is off limits at this unforgettable night. You may witness an elegant, and strong pole dancer showcasing strength and sensuality, performances that are high energy and captivating, spoken word that is naughty yet compelling, you may be called out by the host, to participate in something outrageous. Whatever it is, there is no show like Night of Essence. The night is meant for the mature, stylish and outgoing audience

Night of Essence brings back the entertainment value in production, we pay attention to the details of making a production successful and enjoyable.

Submission details

 

Please send us a detailed description of what you would like to present on stage, your work must be 5 minutes or less. We are looking for diversity and an entertaining experience. Think out side the box.

All performers must be 19+

Please include:

• Your company or stage name, email address and phone number
•  If you’re a choreographer/dancer please list approximately how many dancers you will have in your performance
• If you’re a singer, poet,comedian, please include if you will have anyone else on stage with you when you are performing
• If you’re a designer please include how many models will be showcasing your design
• Please attach bio, resume, photo,video clips and any other supporting documents that will help us get to know you and or see your vision.

IMPORTANT

    If you have performed in the last Night of Essence Show, you do not need to send us your resume or video clip . A submission, with a picture and a bio is all we need.

 

Painters/Visual artist: If you would like to display your work, please send us a bio, and attachments or video of your previous work.

Fashion Designer: If  you would like to showcase your design, please send us a bio, website link, portfolio of your work.

IMPORTANT

Please do not send us videos that we need to upload unto the computer, a video link is all we ask for. You can make your video private via youtube, and add our email address so we can see your video.

We will notify all performers by Friday May 11^th  2012 if you have been accepted into the Night of Essence showcase.
